Astronauts aboard a generation ship have no idea their therapy sessions are being broadcast on Earth as a reality show. Welcome to Personal Space.
Watch it now:
Funds were successfully raised to bring this dramedy webseries to Amazon and ShareTV. It premiered at the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival in February 2018, followed by screenings at the Philip K. Dick Film Festival, Vancouver Webfest, and Hollyweb.
Personal Space stars Richard Hatch of Battlestar Galactica, and also features Nicki Clyne of Battlestar Galactica, Kurt Yaeger of Sons of Anarchy, Cliff Simon of Stargate: SG-1, Tim Russ of Star Trek: Voyager, and Brent Bailey of Emma Approved. Mark Tierno, the star of SyFy’s The Mercury Men, has an appearance as Wernher von Braun.
Since Richard tragically passed away in February 2017, after his scenes were completed, the show will feature one of his final performances. We miss our friend and Commander dearly. Our tribute to him is here.
The scientific details of the ship’s mission are informed by two informal consultants: a NASA contractor’s cryogenics engineer and a Kuiper Belt astronomer, who happen to be the executive producer’s brother and sister.
Additionally, Science Marches Han, a prequel miniseries, has premiered during the Kickstarter campaign. Science Marches Han is a Bill Nye homage, shot as if it aired on public television in 1989.
